But today, this number brings me to 1000 years ago,  Year 1000 marked the beginning period of The Song dynasty that China started a new phase of economic growth that was unprecedented in earlier Chinese history, a period that witnessed the blooming of the supreme artistic expressions of Chinese civilization.  Year 1000 marked the beginning of the high Middle Ages in Europe, historians refer to this period to emphasize its dynamism, creativity and importance in setting the stage for subsequent historical developments.   Year 1000 marked a historic event that the Vikings landed in North America, unveiling a brand new journey in this continent. In Professor Hansen's book: "The Year 1000: When Explorers Connected the World - and Globalization Began" "As Peoples living in different regions established contact with each other around the year 1000, they set the stage for the next phase of globalization in the 1500s" Today,  the decentralization is empowering individuals and local communities, generating new opportunities, enabling new connections across borders. New forms of globalization are taking place.  1000 represents a new beginning, with diversity, inclusiveness, equity.  Let's commemorate and celebrate this moment,  Let's make this world a much better place.
