Come Metagate abbiamo partecipato all'Osservatorio Extended Reality & Metaverso del POLIMI per il 2023/2024. In occasione del convegno finale abbiamo portato 2 esperienze AR da provare; una tramite smartphone (su Over the Reality) e una tramite visore (su Meta Quest3). In particolare sul visore abbiamo realizzato una scena che integra al suo interno un Avatar AI (trainato su Metagate), una interfaccia per il collegamento IOT (per controllare le luci) e un dispenser per riscattare un NFT POAP commemorativo dell'esperienza. Il Convegno di presentazione dei risultati della Ricerca 2023/24 dell'Osservatorio Extended Reality & Metaverse è stata l’occasione per fare il punto sullo stato attuale del mercato e sulle prospettive future ed è stata presentata una panoramica dei progetti sviluppati dalle aziende tramite queste tecnologie. For the Milan Design Week 2024, Yasmine Mahmoudieh with Metagate has developed 2 parallel experiences in Augmented Reality accessible from smartphones and headsets, at the Lampo. (https://isola.design/milan-design-week-2024 ) Isola’s annual theme for 2024 is a statement to provoke mainly but not only the design community into action. This Future is Currently Unavailable, so it’s up to us to change it rather than give up. The smartphone experience was created on the Over the Reality platform. The phygital experience aims to enhance the narrative of the artist who used recycled plastic reprinted in 3D for his creations. In AR on Over the Reality the lack of physical limitations was exploited to position a giant 3 meter chair. Furthermore, a body of water has been inserted on which some plastic bottles float; by clicking on the bottles they transform into the artist's works. Finally, a further interaction allows the space to be digitally "flooded", with the body of water expanding and filling the room (thanks to the "occlusion" technology) to recall the underlying risk of rising oceans. For those who would like to try the headset, there will also be one available on site, and it will be possible to manipulate the design object: moving it, changing its color and enlarging it with the sole use of your hands (no controllers). This POAP commemorates the event held on Discord on Saturday, May 13 2023 celebrating the 150th NFT in Jason Chambers (@jasonlchambers) "300 Days of Cubism" Collection. During the event Jason presented a set of new initiatives and projects, including artists in residence, mindfulness sessions, art on Tezos, cubist portraits, open editions and generative drops. Attendees participated in the raffle of the 150th item of the collection, and had the chance to visit a gallery featuring all the 150 NFTs minted so far.

This POAP is to commemorate episode 13 of the Web 3 Artist Spotlight, which was broadcast live via Twitter Spaces on Friday, February 3rd, 2023. In this episode, hosts Jancarlo (@jancarlo316) and Jenifer (@Jeni_Pepen), interviewed full-time artist Jason Chambers (@jasonlchambers). Jason’s latest collection, 300 Days of Cubism, has made him a top trending artist on @KnownOrigin_io. His art, which is best characterized as Cubism meets Abstraction, can be found in private collections all over the world and was featured on the homepage of @opensea. Jason is also an advocate for mental health and wellness through art.

CHANGE – CHANCE – Das sind die beiden Worte mit denen Mario Lorek seiner Kunst den gewünschten Ausdruck verleiht. Ihm geht es in erster Linie, um die Veränderung im Inneren. Jede Situatuation in unserem Leben gibt uns die Möglichkeiten, die Chancen, die wir für nachhaltige und positive Veränderungen brauchen. Wenn wir aus unseren alten Mustern austreten, unsere Sicht, unsere Perspektive verändern, ergeben sich Chancen, die wir zuvor nicht gesehen oder für möglich gehalten haben. Das passiert immer – immer dann, wenn wir unser Leben mit Bewusstsein füllen. Dann entsteht Veränderung. Mit seinen Arbeiten möchte Mario Lorek dem Betrachter eine neue Perspektive schenken, das Bewusstsein für neue Möglichkeiten erweitern. Oft fehlt uns einfach der Mut hinzuschauen, hinzuschauen, um unseren Schmerz zu sehen, der uns daran hindert vorwärts zu kommen und unsere Träume zu leben. Im Januar 2023 dropt Mario unter dem Künstlernamen CREATIVE MARIO LOREK seine erste NFT-Kollektion, GURUS CHANGE, mit 20 Unikaten. Die Kollektion umfasst 20 digital collagierte Zitate von Gurus und Ikonen unserer Zeit zum Thema „CHANGE“. Halter des NFT´s haben die Möglichkeit einen digital signierten Print ihres NFT´s zu erwerben. Weiterhin sind sie automatisch in der Whitelist für kommende Kollektionen von Mario Lorek.
