Institut x Fxhash Community Meet-up

The Web3 community has been growing rapidly for the last two years. We have had the chance to see it thrive through online and offline events. It is an inspiring community, one that is strong, diverse and welcoming. Fxhash and Institut are delighted to invite you to celebrate all builders and participants in the space. Join us for drinks at Unit London gallery on Wednesday 27th of July, 7-9pm. Institut is a highly-curated digital art marketplace dedicated to identifying and supporting generation-defining artists working with ascendant technologies. Built at the intersection of art and technology, Institut combines art historical knowledge and experience with the core Web3 dynamics that are shaping our future. fxhash is an open platform where artists can publish Generative Tokens which are stored on the Tezos blockchain.

SuperRare Artist 2022 POAP image

The NFT ART DAY ZRH POAP will be issued to all attendees of the first annual NFT and metaverse conference in Switzerland. Created by American artist, Gretchen Andrew, this POAP is based on Andrew's series "Contemporary Art Auction Record (Mint)". Gretchen Andrew manipulates systems of power with art, glitter and code. She is best known for her playful hacks on major art world and political institutions, including Frieze, The Whitney Biennial, Artforum, The Turner Prize, and The Next American President. In these digital performances she reimagines reality with art and desire. Andrew does this by making assemblage “vision boards” that she programs to become top internet search results. The feminine and trivialized materials of her vision boards purposefully clash with the male-dominated worlds of AI, programming, and political control they also operate within. Andrew trained in London with the artist Billy Childish from 2012-2017. In 2018 the V&A Museum released her book "Search Engine Art". Andrew's work has recently been featured in Fast Company, Flash Art, The Washington Post, Fortune Magazine, Monopol, Wirtschaftswoche, The Los Angeles Times, and The Financial Times.
