We believe decentralized science mitigates many conservation issues in Latin America. While there are no coral reefs in Denver, this POAP represents the geological history of Denver, Colorado. Scientists believe that refining the timing of the Cambrian explosion of diversity of life using sedimentary rock layers like those of the Rocky Mountains will refine our understanding of this event. New fossil occurrences, such as trilobites and brachiopods, help measure changes in ocean chemistry and provide dating of rock layers to understand the speed of these changes.
