Here is why: A clonal colony is a group of trees that are genetically identical, have grown all originating vegetatively, with no seeds planted, from a single ancestor. Quaking aspens are able to reproduce themselves clonally, sending seedlings through their roots. Each quaking aspen tree appears to be unique, but underground they are interconnected and are all clones of the same plant. They're all the same organism and they always were. So, Pando is a group of trees that emerged directly from the same tree that may have a longevity of more than 14,000 thousand years, even 80,000 according to other estimates. However, the point is that Pando is possibly the oldest living organism on Earth. When talking about Pando, its longevity is largely determined by the environment in which it was grown. The conditions for living all that time must have been perfect. This is the representation of your Maker Vault with more than 1 year of life. Because it's not just about depositing collateral and issuing Dai, it's also about the care your Vault receives and the ecosystem in which it lives. Just like that single quaking aspen 14,000 years ago was the starting core of life that originated Pando, your Dai issued more than 1 year ago has spread as a particle of life that delivered stability, profits, capital flows and economic life to more than one living being in the DeFi ecosystem. Ethereum Mainnet Shapella Fork Livestream POAP

The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors. On Wednesday, October 27th the first Ethereum Beacon Chain Network Upgrade will happen. Altair is scheduled to go live at epoch 74240 – Oct 27, 2021, 10:56:23am UTC. See the Altair Mainnet Announcement for details on who, how, and why. If you run a validator on the beacon chain, you must upgrade before the Altair upgrade epoch or else you will experience downtime penalties.
