For that reason, Rocket Pool Node Operators without a fallback node could potentially miss attestations for days while their clients are resyncing, pruning, or not working at all. To prevent this, poupas.eth spent his own time and money to build a rescue node, which could be used by anyone in need for free. The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Rocket Fuel, a YouTube channel by the Rocket Pool community for the Rocket Pool community, has been running for a month. In that time, holders of this POAP have shown support for Rocket Fuel by joining the discord thread for the channel, providing feedback, or just being awesome.

This POAP is meant to commemorate The Merge on the Ethereum protocol. We, the fine people of r/ethfinance, have been counting down the days to this historical event. Literally. Everyday u/Moschus11 has been posting a countdown to the estimated merge date and the fellow subredditors have been upvoting, downvoting, correcting, criticising, reviewing, validating his best guess. As a small token of appreciation to our little corner of the internet he would like to hand out this POAP to remember The Merge, but more so the countdown itself. Because, after all, the journey is the reward.
