The wedding ceremony was held at The First Baptist Church of New Milford, NJ, and the reception was held at La Fortuna in Fairview, NJ. Decentraland, a blockchain metaverse, was instrumental in bringing us closer together during the time that we were getting to know each other while being in a long-distance relationship. Depicted in the POAP artwork are our Decentraland characters, Liv & Redeemus. In God we trust.

Michelle created this painting of Havana Cathedral, also known as Catedral de San Cristobal, from memory, many years after she fled Cuba in 1957, never to return. This house of worship, which was completed in 1777 and is located in Old Havana, is Cuba’s most famous church. The remains of Christopher Columbus were interred here from 1796-1898, before being relocated to Europe. Constructed from blocks of coral, this is where Michelle prayed and sought guidance. Not immediately apparent in the lower middle portion of this painting due to its starkly diminutive size is a man wearing a hat, sitting on a bench, gazing at and seemingly contemplating the church.
