Founder Mathieu Baudet announced Conway—the third phase of Linera’s testnet—and detailed what shipped: microchains with ~200 ms blocks and sub-second UX, SDK 0.15 with experimental events, a faster faucet via sparse clients, and the on-chain Game of Life game and points program. Our wallet partner Dynamic (our first!) walked through day-one flows: sign in with email/OAuth/passkey for a non-custodial embedded wallet, or connect an external wallet via WalletConnect (MetaMask supported). This POAP commemorates Linera’s Testnet Babbage launch—the second major milestone in our testnet rollout. Building on the success of Archimedes, Babbage introduces powerful upgrades including a trustless web client, configurable PoW microchains, and Ethereum-compatible signatures, pushing Linera closer to its vision of real-time, user-centric blockchain infrastructure. This POAP commemorates the Linera Team Offsite held in Reykjavík, Iceland, from December 9th to the 13th, 2024. The design, inspired by the traditional Icelandic sweater knit, was crafted by our in-house Head of Content & Social, Wilton Gorske. It features Linera’s beacon logo, incorporates the local IATA airport code alongside the year, and pays homage to Iceland’s rich cultural heritage.
