Danny Ryan is best known as the key researcher and facilitator for the transition in Ethereum from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS), often regarded as a modern engineering marvel. The transition to Proof of Stake reduced the energy footprint of Ethereum by more than 99%, it brought increased efficiency, increased security, increased scalability, and greater decentralization to Ethereum. Danny is also regarded as a central figure in developing the core ethos and vision of Ethereum as a chain committed to long term sustainability and decentralization. Danny's leadership and commitment to making Ethereum sustainable have been vital to the success of the Ethereum beacon chain. On September 13, 2024, Danny announced that he was moving on from this work. As a community, we are deeply appreciative of Danny's efforts and we wish him the best. Collecting this POAP involves a 0.001 Ether donation to the Protocol Guild.

The Aestus MEV-Boost Relay is a neutral, non-censoring relay, which emerged from conversations between members of the EthFinance and EthStaker communities who see the need to develop credibly neutral architecture for the Ethereum staking ecosystem.
