This POAP was awarded to attendees Behold the Ocean's first debut on Twitter Spaces, via the NFT Talk Show. Ava Silvery speaks on her concept for a novel socio-photographic experiment, leveraging NFT photography to fund civilian environmental science and open data publishing. Sales from the Behold the Ocean collection will be used to fund an expedition to Cape Horn, where scientists and a select group of collectors will spend one month observing, experiencing, and being inspired by nature. With Behold The Ocean, I want to create a self-sufficient cycle of art enabling science and vice versa, with the aim to bring society closer to the real circumstances in which our knowledge is produced. This is an attempt to not only deinstitutionalize and accelerate, but also re-humanize how science is embedded in society.
