On the occasion of Artsy's NFT Auction, "Artists Who Code," curated by Mieke Marple and Vellum LA director Sinziana Velicescu, artist Refik Anadol and entrepreneur Jesse Damiani host artists Carla Gannis, Göksu Koçakcigil, Helena Sarin, Sofia Crespo, Anne Spalter, and Ivona Tau for a discussion on AI & computational creativity. "Artists Who Code" is an auction of Generative NFTs by women and nonbinary artists. NFTs are considered a male-dominated space, and Artists Who Code foregrounds the central role and major impact women and nonbinary creators have in digital art and technology. As part of Artsy’s mission to empower women and nonbinary creators, 5% of the total sale from the auction will be donated to the non-profit Girls Who Code.

Peter Wu+ of EPOCH joins us on 1/18/22 to speak about curation, his approach to exhibition building, equitable smart contracts, and releasing entire virtual exhibitions as NFTs on the Algorand blockchain. In 2020, Peter founded and created EPOCH, an artist-run virtual experiment that functions as an inclusive community building platform inviting established and emerging artists working in both digital and analog mediums to participate. Being primarily artist-centric, EPOCH has established itself as a virtual destination that challenges the status quo with its critical and innovative approach to curation and exhibition building.
