This POAP confirms that you were a staked hacker at ETHGlobal's Scaling Ethereum 2023 Hackathon. Our second ever hackathon focused on the future of Ethereum, over 1400 hackers joined virtually to build 306 future thinking projects.

Together we watched as Ethereum replaced its proof of work consensus algorithm with proof of stake reducing Ethereum’s energy consumption by ~99.95%. Following this, we kick off the workshops for week #2: Introduction to Plonky2: During this workshop, William Borgeaud and Brendan Farmer from Polygon Zero presents Plonky2 - a recursive SNARK that improves on previous SNARK constructions and is natively compatible with Ethereum. It combines PLONK and FRI from STARKs, with fast proofs and no trusted setup with support for recursion and low verification cost on Ethereum. PIL - Polynomial Identity Language: In this workshop, Jordi Baylina from Polygon Hermez present the Polynomial Identity Language.
