This POAP commemorates the mergening of /r/ethfinance and /r/ethereum. Now the hallowed Ethfinance Daily is a front-page feature within /r/ethereum! Collectors of this POAP made a donation of ~$5 of ETH to the Protocol Guild. /r/ethereum is now a mullet: Ethereum tech on the front page and price action (and more) in the daily. On the 23rd of May 2024, I spent the day with other ethfinanciers waiting for the US Securities and Exchange Commission to approve the exchange applications for spot ether ETFs. We did it!

On January 21, 2024 Nethermind validators suddenly went offline at block 257,913. Thanks to Nethermind being a minority client, network participation drop was only ~10% and the chain was unaffected! The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.
