Fiona Bevan is a British-Canadian songwriter, singer and multi-instrumentalist from Suffolk, UK with a sweet, fiery voice and a soulful, cinematic folk sound creating "startling odysseys that suggest Erykah Badu, Joanna Newsom and Kate Bush spine-tinglingly joined" (Guardian). Her latest EP, ‘Wild Angels Sweet Demons’, was produced by Grammy winner Robin Baynton (Laura Marling, Isaac Gracie).

As intricate as a team of watchmakers, as spare as a mountain stream, uplifting and elegiac in equal measure, Three Cane Whale’s multi-instrumental acoustic music encompasses both a cinematic sweep and an intimate delicacy, in which "the aroma of muddy leaves and old nettles is almost tangible" (The Observer). Maz O’Connor's music has been described by The Observer as 'the perfect mix of youthfulness and gravitas'. Her songs are short stories wrapped in a unique soundscape. They combine acoustic instruments, folk imagery, electronic soundscapes and O’Connor’s ethereal vocals. A millennial meeting of Joni Mitchell and Kate Bush, heartbreak, longing, and a taste for irony remain constant touchstones. Other influences include Paula Rego, Mary Oliver, Nina Simone, Bjork, Dylan, sessions in Irish pubs, urban foxes, and the lonely moon. Her new album, co-written and co-produced with composer Will Gardner, is an ambitious song-cycle set in the city at night. Buffo’s Wake is a twelve-legged beast, hatched in the murky backwater of Brighton, UK.
