The National Day of Racial Healing Concert, presented in partnership with the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation, marries music and mission. It is a celebration of our common humanity and our ongoing collective action to create a more just and equitable world. It is a deliberate declaration that music has the power to heal, to transform, and to unite us. The 2022 National Day of Racial Healing Virtual Concert features performances by Sunni Patterson, Sol Galeano, Edith Romero, Joy Clark, Vic Jcome, Alfred Banks, and Charm Taylor. From spoken word to blues to hip hop to jazz, we’re taking a musical journey in the spirit of community and commitment to change. About the National Day of Racial Healing: The National Day of Racial Healing is part of the W. K. Kellogg Foundation's National Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation Initiative. The National Day of Racial Healing is a time to contemplate our shared values and create the blueprint together for #HowWeHeal from the effects of racism. Launched on Jan. 17, 2017, it is an opportunity to bring ALL people together in their common humanity and inspire collective action to create a more just and equitable world. This annual observance is hosted by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation (WKKF) and was created with and builds on the work and learnings of the Truth, Racial Healing & Transformation (TRHT) community partners. Fundamental to this day is a clear understanding that racial healing is at the core of racial equity. This day is observed every year on the Tuesday following Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
