The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.

ETHPrague aims to harness the potential of Ethereum technology and human creativity to shape a more equitable and sustainable future. By focusing on solarpunk concepts and encouraging collaboration, they hope to inspire new ideas and solutions that prioritize sustainability and community. This conference will feature presentations, panels, and fireside chats from both Ethereum and solarpunk sustainability experts, as well as other entertainment, including a concert with local musicians playing authentic instruments. The POAP will be distributed to real-life attendees at the registration desk throughout the event.

The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors.
