This week’s Community Hour featured exciting updates, including a new Galxe Mega Quest focused on Linera’s partnership with Space and Time, our latest meme challenge “Linera in the Movies,” and upcoming internet game tournaments to level up your chains and play with the team. We also welcomed a new regional channel for India with Sanatan as the new mod and shared a Galxe how-to video by Ambassador Lucy. Thanks for being part of the Linera community!

We kicked off our first POAP drop of 2025 during today’s Community Hour call! Danny Greene, our usual host, joined us to discuss the latest questing campaign with Galxe, which launched today. We covered the usual POAP raffle and claim process, along with our “Better, Faster, Linera” meme challenge—announcing winners and sharing all the creative submissions. We also reminded everyone about our internet tournaments and game nights. Since it’s the new year and we’re welcoming many new faces from the Galxe quest, we went over the basics of Linera, shared insights about our founder Mathieu Baudet, and encouraged everyone to join the quest (especially the one focused on learning about Linera). We emphasized how early everyone still is—our mainnet hasn’t even launched yet!

Inaugural mint to commemorate the launch of the Public Goods Network (PGN), an L2 aimed at revolutionizing the funding of global public goods. This POAP celebrates the pioneering participants who minted the first ever PGN NFT on Zora in July 2023, marking the launch of PGN's mainnet. This foundational NFT, symbolizes the commitment of our community to foster and finance initiatives that support public goods. Eligibility for this POAP is exclusively granted to those who engaged directly in the minting of this inaugural NFTs, directly contributing to the kickoff of PGN. This digital token serves not only as a token of appreciation but as a lasting memento of the role our community played in the early stages of a network designed to support and sustain public goods projects across the globe. Abstracting Complexity, Unlocking Opportunity: Simplified Web3 Development & Rewards for Open Source Projects Speakers: Max Howell, Founder & CEO Mawadda Basir, Head of Product Through this workshop, attendees will learn strategies and implementation examples for utilizing account abstraction to smooth the transition for web2 developers into web3 while enabling new reward, ownership, and recognition opportunities for open source project contributors through simplified interactions for their users. We will showcase demos using our app, tea, which leverages these techniques to empower open source project ownership and decentralized community rewards.

Holders of this POAP celebrated Ethereum Mainnet's upgrade to Dencun. This eagerly anticipated upgrade is projected to reduce gas fees for Layer 2 networks, unlocking greater scaling for the Ethereum ecosystem. Celebrating the 12 Days of Zerion campaign with Layer3!

The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.
