On March 31, 2023, Smartnode v1.9.0 was unleashed upon the world, heralding a new era of possibility and potential for the Rocket Pool protocol. This upgrade wasn't just any ordinary update - it was a crucial step in preparing for the much-anticipated Atlas and Shapella updates. The Rocket Pool community had been eagerly anticipating this moment, and the excitement was palpable. Joe, the hard-working developer at the heart of the project, couldn't help but feel a sense of awe as he looked back on the long road that had led them to this point. Last November, a heated disagreement among members of the Rocket Pool community created an atmosphere that was anything but conducive to discussion and analysis. Naturally, Marceau's famous BCOTD (Bullish Comment Of The Day), investment insights, and friendly small talk weren't making any appearances in chat - at least not until some prominent Rocket Poolers took it upon themselves to band together for one major mission: bring back their beloved "Marcy." On December 18th 2022 they succeeded – good old Marceau returned to his rightful place in #trading!

This POAP is for everyone who was active in #trading channel of the Rocket Pool discord on the day that Thomasg bought up all RPL liquidity in the range 0.013 - 0.015, with a 197k RPL market buy, worth 2850 ETH. With that, he cemented his status as a Rocket Pool wall-wrecking legend. He then converted the old RPL bought to the new RPL token and added them as single-sided liquidity at a higher price range: 0.015 - 0.025
