What was celebrated: This September 21st, 2022, Metagellan announced the entrance of a famous French newspaper company called 20 Minutes in Decentraland. 20 Minutes has installed its news-stand at the foot of the Meta Mall, a virtual building in the metaverse. For the first time ever, passers-by can get their hands on a digital version of the newspaper and stay informed on the latest news. During the event, 20 Minutes presented their latest expansion project called 20 Mint (https://20mint.xyz/). It is the world's first free mass-market magazine entirely dedicated to web3. This project was entirely financed by an NFT collection of 999 typewriters that was sold on OpenSea during the official sale. 20 Minutes is now ready to step foot in the virtual world and planned a wearable giveaway during the event with a limited supply of T-shirts. A virtual copy of their well-known white polo shirts was recreated, to match the real version. During the event, DJ Bufalo will set the mood with a modern western Music Set on the rooftop starting at 6 PM UTC! Congrats, you made it too! For the opening show of CollecOnline's new Mall in Decentraland, two sets of POAPs were set up. The story behind this: After the MVFW last month, we enjoyed watching a specific Decentraland citizen, called @GaryDCL on Twitter. For the ones that don’t know him, he is a legend in parkour and crushes mazes organized by other content creators in the metaverse. We have seen it all with Gary: his fashionista dances on fashion week’s important stages. Well, he was not invited and he was know for the #ClearTheStageGary hashtag for a while on Twitter. His epic love affair and drama with Potradamus were also fun to watch on Roachkilla’s live streams… And most importantly, Gary has a talent for finding all types of glitches in random scenes. After finding ourselves a collider glitch in our Mall’s build, CollecOnline’s team decided it was time to embrace it and dedicate a POAP in honor of Gary.
