This POAP is a proof of assisting this new REM Phyle Session, where minds converge, ideas flourish, and the journey of discovery never ceases. Φυλή - 𝑝ℎ𝑦𝑙𝑒 Phyle is an ancient greek term for 𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒃𝒆 or 𝒄𝒍𝒂𝒏 ✦ derived from the word φύεσθαι ➝ 𝑡𝑜 𝑑𝑒𝑠𝑐𝑒𝑛𝑑, 𝑡𝑜 𝑜𝑟𝑖𝑔𝑖𝑛𝑎𝑡𝑒. Danny Ryan is best known as the key researcher and facilitator for the transition in Ethereum from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS), often regarded as a modern engineering marvel. The transition to Proof of Stake reduced the energy footprint of Ethereum by more than 99%, it brought increased efficiency, increased security, increased scalability, and greater decentralization to Ethereum. Danny is also regarded as a central figure in developing the core ethos and vision of Ethereum as a chain committed to long term sustainability and decentralization. Danny's leadership and commitment to making Ethereum sustainable have been vital to the success of the Ethereum beacon chain. On September 13, 2024, Danny announced that he was moving on from this work. As a community, we are deeply appreciative of Danny's efforts and we wish him the best. Collecting this POAP involves a 0.001 Ether donation to the Protocol Guild.
