The Ethereum mainnet turns 10 years old on July 30th. But did you know that the Copenhagen Ethereum Meetup Group is older than the Ethereum mainnet? The first-ever Copenhagen Ethereum Meetup happened on July 14th, 2015. To celebrate this milestone and nearly 10 years of mainnet, we have booked a great venue that will set the stage for an evening of excellent talks and even better company. The concrete agenda will be shared at a later point in time, but for now, make sure to mark the date in your calendars. We will start at 18:30 and do around two hours of talks/discussions, and afterwards we have the venue for the entire evening, so we hope you'll hang around with us for a couple of drinks and good conversations.

A POAP to commemorate all of the folks who came out and placed more than 50 pixels on the POAP.art canvas during the Mainnet Merge call hosted by EthStaker on September 15th, 2022.

The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors. I attended the Ethereum & Web3 Copenhagen meetup "Merge Edition" on September 13th, 2022, at 320colab with support from Ethereum Foundation to celebrate Ethereum's transition to Proof-of-Stake!

Holders of this POAP were online with EthStaker during the Kiln testnet merge. The Kiln testnet is the first public testnet for the merge that will combine the Execution Layer from the existing Proof of Work chain with the Consensus Layer from the new beacon chain. The result will be a new chain (forged in the kiln) with a new Proof of Stake Consensus Layer and a powerful EVM Execution engine. This call occurred around 10am Eastern time on March 15, 2022, a day earlier than anticipated after GPU miners accelerated the PoW chain toward the merge.
