DAOs or Decentralized Autonomous Organizations have gained traction over the recent years, with the concept being explored as early as Ethereum itself. From a grant giving DAO like Moloch that funds projects making an impact to Ethereum ecosystem, more complex governance mechanisms have been explored by other projects as communities explore ways to decentralize their governance stack. Specific governance roles have also been created such as delegates and subDAOs, opening opportunities for individuals or institutions to play their part in governance for a decentralized future.
