Congrats! You have attended this event and learnt about on Zero Knowledge (ZK) including ZK Rollups, ZK Proofs! You are definitely not being zero knowledge anymore!
After 2 years since the last Devcon in Japan, Ethereum's flagship annual event is finally back in Bogotรก! Akin to a global family reunion, Devcon is a conference for builders of all kinds: developers, designers, researchers, client implementers, test engineers, infrastructure operators, community organizers, social economists, artists, and more. Not everyone will have the opportunity to fly 19,000 Kilometers all the way to Bogotรก, and that's why we are bringing Devcon to Malaysia as part of Devcon Satellites! We will be having our community members to share their experience as Devcon attendees and also as an Ethereum Foundation's scholar! We then will go through together on curated topics highlighted during Devcon to keep us up to date with Ethereum's latest development.
This month, it will be all about the upcoming Merge. The merge of Ethereum's consensus & execution layers and change of consensus mechanism has been planned from the start of the protocol. With the last testnet, Goerli, planned to undergo its Merge in August and mainnet planned for September, we are super close to getting there. We will be conducting a round table to learn important concepts about post-Merge Ethereum as well as a hands-on workshop on running your own node. The meetup will be participatory! Everyone is welcome to share their insights in the round table (please make sure it's based on knowledge not BS) and should bring their laptops if they'd like to try running a node. Local legend (sorry for these hype-ish words ser) Caleb will be leading the workshop.
