Rocket Pool hit a major milestone when the number of node operators reached 2000. This event is considered a huge success for the protocol and demonstrates its ability to maintain growth over time. The community celebrated this achievement as a sign of the protocol's strength and potential for future success. Community members, ramana and waqwaqattack were able to form a shrimp marriage to officially create the 2,000th node. On January 16, 2023, Kevin Owocki announced that he had completed syncing his Rocket Pool node and was planning to launch minipools soon.
