It is also home to g0v, the civic tech community that plays a significant role in Taiwan’s digital democracy movement. Funding the Commons collaborated with da0, the web3 branch under g0v, to create a unique experience focused on public goods funding. During December 2023, Taipei became the global headquarters of the blockchain industry for one week, hosting the Taipei Blockchain Week, a rising conference series that focuses on connecting Taiwan with the global blockchain community. Taipei is an innovative yet cultural environment that has incubated strong public infrastructure and created a brand new dynamic for the 8th installment of Funding the Commons.
