RP Vote Power Initialized
2024-07-15
The Rocket Pool Houston release delivered Protocol DAO on-chain voting. Shortly, the Protocol DAO will be able to vote on Snapshot for meta governance and vote on-chain to make protocol changes. Before Rocket Pool can enable Protocol DAO voting, node operators need to initialize their voting power in the new system and update their signaling address that is used to vote on Snapshot. Node operators that initialized their voting power by July 15 received a POAP.
This POAP will be issued to anyone who was operating their own Ethereum staking node, either as a solo staker or as a Rocket Pool node operator, as of the time of the merge. The first use of this POAP will be to vote on an art style for a non-transferrable NFT which will be issued to node operators. You can learn more about this project here: https://www.ethstakerincentives.org/ Subsequent uses will be up to the staker community. The list of eligible addresses for this POAP is here: https://github.com/GLCNI/ETH-Solo-Validator-Addresses

Rocket Pool - Burning The Midnight Oil
2023-02-28
For the month of February 2023, jcrtp.eth (Joe) has been burning the proverbial midnight oil and working some very long hours to ship Atlas and v1.9 on time. The Rocket Pool community took the time to thank Joe for his amazing work and thank his wife for supporting him during that time. This POAP was awarded to anyone who shared kind words to Joe and his family. POAP developed by superphiz and designed by ShfRyn.
Saved by the Rescue Node
2022-12-04
Since the merge, a fully synced execution client is required to successfully propose an attestation. For that reason, Rocket Pool Node Operators without a fallback node could potentially miss attestations for days while their clients are resyncing, pruning, or not working at all. To prevent this, poupas.eth spent his own time and money to build a rescue node, which could be used by anyone in need for free. This POAP celebrates the selfless act by poupas, and will be distributed to anyone who verifiably used the rescue node, or helped people who did. Special thanks to Patches and [object Object], who helped with maintaining the node and distributing unique access URLs. Art by Arkir.
