Sarah Zucker is an artist that has been involved with crypto art since April 2019, and hosted this class. The residents had an opportunity to ask Sarah anything, leading to some interesting discussions on crypto art, from Sarah's vast knowledge on the topic. Ivona Tau is an award winning generative AI artist that has been an AI engineer and researcher for 5 years and an AI artist for 2 years. She joined the NFT space 1 year ago and since has gathered some crucial knowledge that she will be passing on to us today. Stina Gustaffson is an independent curator and art strategist and gave an interesting talk today about what curation means for crypto art and Web3- which is the decentralised internet. Stina also discussed how curators work and what they look for from artists giving an insight that is very useful for our residents future in crypto art. Sam Arsenault-Brassard gave an extremely helpful talk on VR and AR- answering any questions the residents had on the topic. Sam gave examples of the variety of ways that VR and AR can be used- the more well known ways and also some alternative uses that may have been new to the residents. Linda Dounia and Kalen Iwamoto are from a previous cohort of our residency and joined us for a special talk about the importance of community in the crypto world and their experiences developing as artists in this community. Judy joined us this week to introduce us to DADA.art. DADA.art is a visual conversation platform for artists to communicate to each other through their artwork and also making collaborative art.
