We want to celebrate the community members of our public goods funding ecosystem. Many of you have participated in donating to public goods, or have been an integral community member supporting these great projects in a variety of ways. Epoch Zero is a one-time funding event, where Golem Foundation & Octant will be donating 1 million dollars to public goods projects: Clr.fund, DAO Drops, Drips, Ethereum Cat Herders, ETHStaker, Giveth, Gitcoin, Kernel, Protocol Guild, & Supermodular. To say thank you to donors of public goods projects, we want to distribute this POAP to community members who care about funding public goods. Join us as we aim to elevate the ecosystem with a variety of experiments via the staking rewards of up to 100,000ETH.

Six years ago in a galaxy far, far away, ENS was launched. Holders of this POAP have an avatar and their primary name set on an ENS name at the time of the 6th anniversary of the Ethereum Name Service.

This POAP commemorates the addresses who voted in Round 1 of DAO Drops. These users made their voices heard, and helped determined how $250,000 DAI was distributed across dozens of deserving projects and individuals. DAO Drops is a retroactive public goods funding mechanism that directly empowers Ethereum users. In Round 1, over 40,000 addresses received voting power based on past on-chain actions such as voting in DAOs, attending Ethereum ecosystem events, and deploying smart contracts to mainnet. This POAP can be minted to the subset of those addresses who actually voted in Round 1.

The Ropsten Testnet successfully merged the Execution and Consensus clients on June 8, 2022. This initial public testnet merge is an important technical milestone for the Ethereum network that paves the way for other testnets and the Mainnet merge. Holders of this POAP showed their support of the Ethereum protocol by sending 1 dollar of value to Protocol Guild within the specified time ranges on the day of the testnet merge. The cumulative amount raised is over $11,000, which will be disbursed directly to the Ethereum Core Developers. The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Holders of this POAP were there to witness the Ethereum Mainnet Merge with the rest of the community and signaled their support to the core developers of this enormous undertaking by sending roughly $10 of ETH to the Protocol DAO, directly funding protocol contributors.
