JOW is an acoustic instrumental duo with a distinctive blend of jazz, folk and classical chamber music, consisting of James Gow on cello and Pete Judge on trumpet. James is an outstanding young multi-instrumentalist who has performed all over the world for theatre companies including Kneehigh and Wise Children, and is also a member of the band Eleven Magpies. Pete is the trumpeter with BBC Jazz Award winners Get The Blessing and multi-instrumentalist with the acclaimed folk trio Three Cane Whale, amongst many other projects. JOW's eponymous debut album was recorded at Jim Barr's J&J Studios in Bristol, and released November 2021. Their follow-up EP was recorded in St Ambrose Church, Bristol, in March 2022, by Alex Garden (Sonder, The Drystones, Tarren) who also guests on violin, and will be released in the autumn. Playing classic bluegrass and old-time music Stompin' Dave & His Bluegrass Band is led by Stompin' Dave "One of the world's greatest performers" according to Maverick Magazine on vocals, five string bando and flatfoot dancing.
