With the ETH price showing signs of stagnation below $4,000, the Rocket Pool community collaborates with Ramana to organize a collective buying initiative for the RPL token. From March 8 to 9, 2024, Ramana matches 20% of RPL purchases submitted to his thread. He diligently tracks and records each transaction on his personal website. Participants who joined the purchasing event and posted their transactions during this timeframe were eligible to receive a POAP.

Funds were donated by: Waq donated $3000, with the caveat that the whole community must rally to reach $10,000 in total donations. On Dec 1st, 2023, Waq hosted his 300th episode of Rocket Fuel - his daily news show about the Rocket Pool community and protocol. In celebration, Waq donated $3000 to the RPL Benefactor, a member of the Rocket Pool community known for distributing RPL to community members. Waq donated the money with the caveat that the whole community must rally to reach $10,000 in total donations. Once that amount was reached, the RPL Benefactor would distribute the RPL to members of the community. However, if that amount was not reached by Dec 1st, the RPL/eth/whatever would be sent back to donors. This POAP was part of the fundraising drive to reach the $10,000 target. This POAP was sold using POAP checkout with the aim of reaching $10,000. The people who bought the POAP donated $100 (the cost of the POAP) to the RPL Benefactor for them to distribute to the RP community. In donating their money, they became the RPL Benefactor This POAP was created by Shfryn, and it was distributed by Waq through POAP checkout.

0xFornax, a dedicated and long-standing community member, has officially joined the Rocket Pool team! 0xFornax's addition brings not only Golang expertise but also a wealth of insights and skills to the table. After Ramana's Rocketarb huff contract got hacked and Ramana's 32 ETH were stolen, the Rocket Pool Community came together to help him. Since the community has profited tremendously from the Rocketarb contract that Ramana.eth had crafted, they felt like it was only fair to give back a little to ease Ramana's pain. On July 17, 2023, a significant event took place within the Rocket Pool community as their Discord server was compromised. During this incident, a fraudulent airdrop was shared, leading to the banning of esteemed members from the server. However, in the face of adversity, the resilient Rocket Pool community united on a secondary server to confront and rectify the situation.
