The Ethereum Mainnet merged with the Beacon Chain proof-of-stake network on September 15, 2022. This marks the end of proof-of-work for Ethereum and a full transition to proof-of-stake. This historic upgrade is projected to reduce the Ethereum network's energy consumption by over 99% and sets the stage for future upgrades to further scale the Ethereum network. Pudgy Penguin holders were invited to join the new Nansen Connect messaging platform by Alex Svanevik, CEO of Nansen. The community managed to reunite in this web3-powered impromptu chat 100 penguins. This POAP commemorates this event.
