This week’s Community Hour POAP was claimable via secret word—available only to live listeners! We shared updates on the weekly Developer Workshop series (Tuesdays), the ongoing Games on Microchains builder challenge, our regular game tournaments, and the latest meme challenge. Abstracting Complexity, Unlocking Opportunity: Simplified Web3 Development & Rewards for Open Source Projects Speakers: Max Howell, Founder & CEO Mawadda Basir, Head of Product Through this workshop, attendees will learn strategies and implementation examples for utilizing account abstraction to smooth the transition for web2 developers into web3 while enabling new reward, ownership, and recognition opportunities for open source project contributors through simplified interactions for their users. We will showcase demos using our app, tea, which leverages these techniques to empower open source project ownership and decentralized community rewards.

Holders of this POAP celebrated Ethereum Mainnet's upgrade to Dencun. This eagerly anticipated upgrade is projected to reduce gas fees for Layer 2 networks, unlocking greater scaling for the Ethereum ecosystem. The address which minted this POAP participated in the KZG Summoning Ceremony: a publicly coordinated ritual to produce a random output. This output will be used in Proto-Danksharding, aka EIP 4844: an Ethereum scaling mechanism which will hopefully enable lower Layer 2 fees and greater global accessibility. EIP-4844 is expected to go live with the Dencun network upgrade in the near future. As of the time of writing, this ceremony was the largest setup of this kind when considering the number of contributions.
