On October 23rd, 2025, President Donald Trump pardoned convicted founder of Binance Changpeng Zhao. Janet Yellen, former Treasury Secretary said of CZ and Binance, "Binance turned a blind eye to its legal obligations in the pursuit of profit… Its willful failures allowed money to flow to terrorists, cybercriminals, and child abusers through its platform." When CZ stepped down from Binance, he stated, "I made mistakes, and I must take responsibility.” He paid a $50million dollar fine and spent four months in prison, though he was allowed to keep his stake in Binance.

Ether first crossed $4,000 in October 2021, at the time it was near the end of a wild bull run. Today we passed $4k for the second time, nearly 30 months later, with a totally new perspective: this feels more like the beginning of a new bull cycle than the end of one. A workshop during the Buidl Week in Denver to explore the Proteus project from Joe Clapis and the Rocket Pool Smartnode. Proteus is a low-cost/low-energy/3d printed staking machine, perfect for running an Ethereum node. Online attendees will have the opportunity to see how easy it is to stake from home using Rocket Pool's open-source Smartnode stack, send questions and possibly win a prize!

Rocket Pool hit a major milestone when the number of node operators reached 2000. This event is considered a huge success for the protocol and demonstrates its ability to maintain growth over time. The community celebrated this achievement as a sign of the protocol's strength and potential for future success.
