LOS NUEVE POAPS DEL MICTLÁN LEVEL III - ITZTÉPETL Su nombre viene de la región de la obsidiana donde está el señor del castigo, quien vigila un cerro cubierto de pedernales filosos que desgarran a las almas que pasan que tienen que cruzar sin caer por el dolor de los cortes. Al llegar al punto sin piedras filosas, una ráfaga de viento desprendía al excursionista de aquellas pertenencias y vestido que habrían sido importantes en vida, preparándolo para el siguiente nivel.

LOS NUEVE POAPS DEL MICTLÁN LEVEL II - TEPEME MONAMICTLÁN Es el lugar en las montañas que se juntan y su nombre proviene de dos grandes montañas que chocan constantemente. Hay quienes, al pasar por ahí, fallan y son triturados por los cerros. Es un lugar gobernado por el señor de las montañas. Este segundo nivel también es conocido como Tepectli Monamictlán.
