Rocket Pool's Trip Down Memory Lane
2024-09-18
As Rocket Pool launches to a new beginning with RP v2, the community takes a trip down memory lane. In the POAP, Stakeman wearing new merch from the soon to be RP Store, represents the future memories we will make as he supports our trip down memory lane for the Rocket Pool community. We are here (at the star in the center) celebrating this amazing crypto-journey and ready to Face Down any challenges together. Familiar faces and the colorful situations we’ve found ourselves in adorn the landscape of our journey. To get this POAP, community members reminisce (in the discord) over past events.
After many years of progress and a lengthy approval process, Spot Ethereum Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) opened for trading on July 23, 2024. The SEC approved eight ETFs, including the Grayscale Ethereum Mini Trust (ETH), Franklin Ethereum ETF (EZET), VanEck Ethereum ETF (ETHV), Bitwise Ethereum ETF (ETHW), 21Shares Core Ethereum ETF (CETH), Fidelity Ethereum Fund (FETH), BlackRock's (BLK) iShares Ethereum Trust (ETHA) and the Invesco Galaxy Ethereum ETF (QETH). Funds raised from this POAP will go to Aestus. The Aestus MEV-Boost Relay is a neutral, non-censoring relay, which emerged from conversations between members of the EthFinance and EthStaker communities who see the need to develop credibly neutral architecture for the Ethereum staking ecosystem. RP Vote Power Initialized
2024-07-15
The Rocket Pool Houston release delivered Protocol DAO on-chain voting. Shortly, the Protocol DAO will be able to vote on Snapshot for meta governance and vote on-chain to make protocol changes. Before Rocket Pool can enable Protocol DAO voting, node operators need to initialize their voting power in the new system and update their signaling address that is used to vote on Snapshot. Node operators that initialized their voting power by July 15 received a POAP.
Holders of this POAP celebrated Rocket Pool's Houston upgrade on the EthStaker livestream.
Rocket Pool Forks Hard
2024-03-26
On March 13, 2024, the Dencun hard fork occurred. The bustling #trading community within the Rocket Pool Discord diligently monitored their nodes to ensure everything remained stable during the fork. Numerous users shared their Ethereum logs, as the massive blob ASCII printed to their command lines. This upgrade, being dubbed the smoothest hard fork ever, transformed what could have been a daunting process into a seamless transition. As a token of recognition, the Rocket Pool community actively engaging in the #trading channel during the Dencun fork were awarded a POAP.
