Stadthuys – A red-painted colonial building and former Dutch administrative center, now housing historical museums. Allied with Johor, the Dutch East India Company captured Melaka in 1641. The Dutch tolerated Islam but promoted Dutch culture and Reformed Christianity, maintaining control for over 150 years.
