For the Bayer Berlin Summer Lounge 24 the Bayer Volunteering team organized a donation campaign that aims to support people in need by harnessing all of its power, tools, and connections. By claiming this POAP, you got to know the following initiative: We are a non-profit organisation and have been carrying out aid tours on the streets of Berlin since 2013 to provide homeless and needy people with warm food, drinks, clothing, sleeping bags, hygiene articles, other necessities and a warming chat. To do this, we currently travel to central locations in the Berlin districts of Wedding, Mitte, Kreuzberg and Moabit three days a week. Since 2021, we have employed two social workers who offer low-threshold counselling. Every Friday afternoon, we invite needy and homeless people and our neighbours to the Kiezcafé. Our own small housing project will be launched in autumn 2024. All the work is mainly carried out by volunteers. We finance all of this solely from donations!
