Hello Crawley Town fans! Accrington Stanley found national prominence in 1989 thanks to the iconic Milk Marketing Board advert that asked, "Accrington Stanley, Who Are They?" The current iteration of the club rose from the ashes in 1968 after the collapse of the original Accrington Stanley in 1962, which itself had roots dating back to 1888 as founder members of the Football League. Fast forward to the early 21st century, and Accrington Stanley, under the leadership of John Coleman, experienced a remarkable journey. Three promotions in seven seasons saw them ascend from non-league football to the Football League. Their triumphant climb included titles in the Northern Premier League Division One (1999–2000), Northern Premier League Premier Division (2002–03), and the Conference National (2005–06). In recent years, Accrington Stanley found success in League Two, culminating in their promotion to League One as champions in the 2017–18 season. However, their journey hasn't been without its challenges, with the club experiencing relegation in 1999 and battling through play-off heartbreaks. Now, as Crawley Town prepares to face Accrington Stanley, there's an added layer of excitement.
