In April 2023, Bayer Pharma celebrated the first Earth Week. On April 19th Bayer sites around the wold joined in with a local Earth Day. Each participating site organized different local activities, like talks, quizzes, clean ups, electronic waste collections and more to engage their employees around the topic of sustainability and to motivate them to become an active part of the changes needed. On the Earth Week platform every employee was also able to access additional resources, videos and posters about sustainability projects from different departments of Pharma. Colleagues could also get engaged through quizzes, a photo booth, a sustainability commitment wall, by joining the CO2 Hero App challenge, and of course getting their own Earth Week POAP.
