Thanks for joining us for a special Halloween edition of @foodnouns Milk & Cookies Show! Here’s this week’s recipe—see more details in the recipe box in the Foodnouns discord: Nounish Mummy Cookie Ingredients 1.5 sticks salted butter, softened 1 cup sugar ½ cup light brown sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla extract 1 tbsp whole milk 2.5 cups self-rising flour ROYAL ICING. STORE BOUGHT OR HOMEMADE INSTRUCTIONS PREHEATt he oven to 350. Beat together the butter and sugars until the mixture is light and creamy, then beat in the egg and add the vanilla extract and the milk. Stir the flour into the mixture to make a dough. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper, scoop out the dough in tablespoons and roll into 24 balls. Sit about 8cm apart as they will spread out as they cook. Press a fork onto each ball to flatten it out slightly. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden. Rest the biscuits for a couple of minutes before lifting them off the tray onto a wire rack to cool. Use white Icing to draw Mummy bandages across the cookies. Use Colored Icing to make Noggles. Alternatively glue Colored M&Ms on for eyes and place a black dot in the center. For icing recipe, see “Recipe Box” in the Foodnouns discord.
