Cloud-Based No-Code Applications - Efficient Support for the Shop Floor
New approaches are increasingly being used in the area of discrete manufacturing – the demand for agile and highly automated testing methods is growing, especially in quality assurance. The technologies are already available – but special expertise is needed to integrate them. The trend is therefore toward cloud-based no-code applications, which quickly enable people with sufficient domain knowledge to create corresponding solutions without technical expertise. However, this requires an efficient IT architecture to connect machines and robots. Hybrid architectures are particularly suitable for this: They combine local data analysis on the shop floor with the cloud’s scalability options. Using mobile inspection robots as examples, we will illustrate a hybrid platform approach with Microsoft Azure in this presentation.
