Freelancers in the Open Source ecosystem have a hard time developing a sustainable career working on public projects due to a lack of funding opportunities and organized support. Gitcoin's mission is to change this by building and funding Open Source builders via gig-based work opportunities and democratically crowdsourcing financial support. The Gitcoin Builderband is a collective at the heart of this value chain to empower builders on the Gitcoin platform and maximize their returns in these initiatives. The Gitcoin Builderband is a coalition of successful Gitcoin bounty alumni. The members help one another, get access to career services and special discounts and benefits, and together engage in GitcoinDAO campaigns.
