I passed through Miami International Airport in Miami, United States in 2026, and I got to mint this pretty POAP! MIA is one of the largest gateways between the United States and Latin America and the Caribbean. It's a key hub for American Airlines, and in addition to being a passenger hub, it is also a major cargo hub for a huge amount of international freight, particularly perishables, like seafood. This POAP was minted in 2026 as part of a campaign to offer precious digital collectibles to travellers around the world.

In 2026, the beloved ritual of receiving an inked passport stamp at a country’s port of entry is fading into the rearview mirror. Much of North America and Asia-Pacific stopped issuing stamps years ago, and Europe’s Schengen region is now transitioning to a fully digital, biometric entry-and-exit system, leaving travelers without a physical reminder of where they’ve been. Starting January 1st 2026, travelers can mint a unique, commemorative POAP using POAP’s GPS minting feature at over 100 participating airports around the world. Each POAP carries artwork that is unique to that airport, and a special piece of trivia to help travelers connect with the places they are passing through.
