Hey Crawley Town fans! Let's take a moment to dive into the history of one of English football's pioneers—Notts County F.C. Founded on November 28, 1862, Notts County is not just any football club; it's the oldest professional association football club in the world, predating even the formation of the Football Association itself. The Magpies, as they're affectionately known, boast a legacy that spans over a century, making them a true institution in the beautiful game. Notts County's iconic black and white home strip holds a special place in football history. Did you know that these colors inspired none other than Juventus, the Italian giants, to adopt a similar kit in 1903? It's a testament to the enduring influence of Notts County on the global football stage. The club's journey has seen them reach great heights, including finishing third in the top flight during the 1890–91 season—still their highest-ever league position. They also secured FA Cup glory in 1894 with a convincing 4–1 victory over Bolton Wanderers. Promotions and relegations have been part of Notts County's story, from the top tier to the lower divisions and back again. The Magpies have experienced the highs of promotion, notably under the stewardship of Jimmy Sirrel and Neil Warnock. More recently, a temporary setback in 2018–19 led to their first-ever relegation from the Football League, but they bounced back in style via the National League play-offs in the 2022–23 season, Thank you and COYR!

Their dedication and talent were exemplified in their triumphant playoff opener against Stockport. However, the rematch concluded in a loss, resulting in a tied total score of 2-2. This ultimately led to a tension-filled nail-biting penalty shootout, which, unfortunately for Salford, ended with a loss and they were out of the playoffs. During last season's encounters, Crawley Town displayed their mettle with a striking victory at home against Salford, prevailing 3-2 at the Broadfield Stadium, and a commendable away draw, concluding 2-2. These matches highlighted the competitive spirit and the captivating essence of football. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to each and every attendee who contributed to making these watch parties an absolute blast.
