This ultimately led to a tension-filled nail-biting penalty shootout, which, unfortunately for Salford, ended with a loss and they were out of the playoffs. During last season's encounters, Crawley Town displayed their mettle with a striking victory at home against Salford, prevailing 3-2 at the Broadfield Stadium, and a commendable away draw, concluding 2-2. These matches highlighted the competitive spirit and the captivating essence of football.
