Little Beasts - NFT LA
This POAP commemorates meeting a member of the team for the Little Beasts collection at NFT LA 2022, IRL. Little Beasts is a collection of over 1500 Unique NFTâs hand drawn, colored, and assembled by Johnny âKMNDZâ Rodriguez. Featuring 27 unique robots and 61 animals, each piece is thoughtfully hand assembled to create universe of the artistâs imagination. Glass eyed robots with glowing eyes, are drawn from discarded metal pieces that have been repurposed to carry the patina of age and wisdom. A common theme in Rodriguezâs painting practice, these robots are designed to protect memories and share them with future generations. Accompanied by beautifully rendered animals, these pairings circle back to the artistâs cultural roots and the animistic belief that objects and creatures possess unique spiritual essence. Little Beasts are Robotic Time Capsules housing creatures from magical places. Symbiotic with nature and the life force that surrounds them, they emerge from luminous corners of a new world as time travelers storytellers, mischief-makers, and holders of memory.

NFTuesdayLA x Aya x Patricia El
Ahead of this week's exhibit on generative art with Artsy and Vellum LA, Aya + Patricia El will join us on 3/22/22 to share their work, and how they use generative tools to forge a path for new languages in the realm of digital art and beyond. Aya is a multi-hyphenate creative, Artificial Intelligence (AI) artist, data scientist, and poetic meditation teacher; she co-creates with AI to generate visuals inspired by storytelling. Aya will discuss the development process of her two NFT collections: Restorative Afrofuturism and Generating Binti Worlds. Patricia El works across immersive technologies, social justice, audio-visual poetics, and storytelling to explore forms of collective (and personal) liberation, digital protest, and equity in the machine age. She will be sharing about her most recent project: In This Land NFTuesdayLA is made possible by the generous support of Kenetic Capital and Quantum, organized by Medusa Collection, and directed by Cody Edison.
This POAP is an immutable proof that you were in attendance for nft now x Christie's The Gateway event at Art Basel Miami 2021 and got a glimpse into the not-so-distant future in which the worlds of traditional art and NFTs coexist in creative harmony.
