Artist David Hu entered the NFT space in May 2021 and is the creator behind Max the Miata, a cartoon car. One of David’s favorite cars is the first-generation Mazda RX-7, which inspired his cartoon character Rex. As a celebration of the annual 7’s Day—July 7—David created this POAP to share with Max’s fans. Happy 7’s Day!

Having established himself both on and off the Blockchain, Dave is known to be a multidisciplinary creative citing anime, rap, hardcore rock, streetwear & sneaker culture as influences for his work. He spent many years unknowingly watching anime as a child with his grandmother before formally discovering it through the cult anime, Berserk. A proud native of Charleston, SC, Black Dave played bass in several bands with his friends, ranging from punk to metalcore.
