For this I used VQGAN+clip which is a text to image converter. The term being used around this is now being called "promptism" ie: the words one uses to prompt the GAN are close to the artist. I took Rory's words and created several versions, tweaking the prompt as I went, until I ended up with one I was happy with through a conversation with the machine.

You, we, us collectively determine how this technology gets used. In light of everything happening in the world, certain conflicts were on my mind. Human nature, humanity is tested. It will continue to be tested so here we are, finding ways to unlock trust. The living has an expiration but this technology will remain and carry on thus the animated 0s and 1s, contributions left by you (U) the people, if you choose to. We are a part of the earth. I wanted to show an ether crystal - a genesis block - sprouting and sparking all this organic flourishing of life, stories, ideas. There are a multitude of colours to show the diversity of our beings. I drew the design by hand and was inspired by french enamelware, which is beautiful yet hard-wearing, and the designs of William Morris - British artist, poet, and socialist activist.
