On January 10, 2024, the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), led by Gary Gensler, granted approval for spot Bitcoin ETF applications from multiple providers. During this incident, a fraudulent airdrop was shared, leading to the banning of esteemed members from the server. However, in the face of adversity, the resilient Rocket Pool community united on a secondary server to confront and rectify the situation.

In the month of June, the Rocket Pool community banded together to diversify execution client usage on the network.
