This legend basked on Blockchain Beach for the 2022 summer solstice indifferent to the tempests of a building crypto winter. Ethereum enthusiasts from around the world met here to celebrate ether’s return to an all-time high price in June 2021 (and subsequent run north of $4,890) ... only to see it fall below that previous mark a year later. This hodler, though, they were celebrating the tech.

In the depths of the 2019 crypto winter, r/ethfinance members made a blood pact to meet up in Hawaii if ether ever reached its old high of $1,420 in June 2021. It did. This hodler honored that pact and trekked all the way to Waikiki and met up with some Internet friends at the Outrigger Reef. They made the Hawaii 2022 meme a reality on June 18, 2022, with the “good morning” reception.
